Kids at Auckland Museum

Recently we decided on the spur of the moment to go to Auckland Museum for the afternoon. I hadn’t been for a long time and wanted to see what the kids thought of the dinosaurs in particular.

It was amazing. There are Kids Discovery Rooms where they can interact with everything. Hundreds of drawers they can pull out filled with butterflies and insects, puzzles to do, costumes to try on, instruments from all over the world to play. One of the best was a huge rock pool covered in heavy glass which the kids could walk on top of and look up close at large crabs and crayfish.

The dinosaurs and birds were great. We could go there everyday for weeks and still discover new things everytime. We haven’t even started on old machinery yet.
